Every transaction on Aateeq Auctions is protected by our escrow system. When a Buyer wins an auction and completes payment, the funds are held securely in escrow by the Platform — not released directly to the Seller.
Funds are released to the Seller only when one of the following occurs:
After delivery, Buyers have a dispute window of 3 business days (configurable per auction) to inspect the item and raise a dispute if the item is not as described, damaged, or inauthentic.
During this period, the payment remains in escrow. If no dispute is raised within the window, the escrow is automatically released to the Seller.
To raise a dispute:
Our support team will review the dispute and may request additional information from both the Buyer and Seller. Resolution typically takes 3–7 business days.
Once a refund is approved, it is processed via Tap Payments. Refund timelines depend on your payment method:
Please note that the exact timing depends on your financial institution. Aateeq Auctions processes the refund within 1–2 business days of approval; the remaining time is your bank’s processing period.
Auction deposits are automatically refunded to all non-winning participants when the auction closes. No action is required from the Buyer. Deposit refunds are typically processed within 1–3 business days.
For winning bidders, the deposit is applied towards the total purchase price.
The following fees are non-refundable under any circumstances:
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., confirmed fraud), the buyer’s premium may be refunded at our sole discretion.
Bids cannot be retracted once placed. If a Buyer wins an auction and fails to complete payment within the required timeframe, the following may apply:
