Aateeq Auctions (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-powered online auction platform specialising in authenticated luxury antiques, collectibles, and heritage items for the Middle East market. The Platform is operated by Aateeq Auctions, registered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and participate in auctions. By registering, you confirm that:
We may require identity verification (KYC) before you can bid on high-value items or list items for sale. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification or violate these Terms.
Each bid is a legally binding offer to purchase the Item at the stated price. Bids cannot be retracted once placed. The minimum bid increment is determined by the current price tier and is displayed in the auction room.
Buyers must place a refundable deposit before participating in an auction. Deposit amounts are calculated as a percentage of the starting price. Deposits are automatically refunded to non-winning participants when the auction closes.
If a bid is placed within the final minutes of an auction, the auction end time may be automatically extended to allow fair counter-bidding. The number of extensions is limited per auction.
Sellers may set a reserve price. If the highest bid does not meet or exceed the reserve price, the item is not sold. The existence of a reserve price is indicated in the auction but the amount is not disclosed.
Buyers may set a maximum bid amount. The system will automatically bid on their behalf up to that amount using the minimum required increments.
All payments are held in escrow by the Platform. Funds are released to the Seller only after the Buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction, or after the dispute window expires without a claim.
Buyers have a configurable dispute window (default: 3 business days) from the date of delivery to raise a dispute. During this period, funds remain in escrow.
Refunds are processed via Tap Payments and typically take 5–14 business days to appear in the Buyer’s account. See our Refund Policy for full details.

The buyer’s premium is non-refundable. Fees may be updated with 30 days’ prior notice to registered Users.
The following are strictly prohibited on the Platform:
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to logos, designs, text, graphics, software, and AI-generated analyses, is the property of Aateeq Auctions or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of content they upload (images, descriptions) but grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote such content.
AI-generated analyses (authenticity scores, valuations, classifications) are provided as informational aids only and do not constitute expert appraisals, guarantees of authenticity, or warranties of value. Users should conduct their own due diligence and seek independent expert advice for high-value transactions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aateeq Auctions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you to the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Platform acts as a marketplace facilitator. We do not take possession of items and are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of items listed by Sellers, except where our AI Analysis or expert certification explicitly states otherwise.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah, UAE.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
